The 1997 program consisted of reminiscences by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David Workman and then-Los Angeles Municipal Court Judge (now a retired Superior Court judge) Elva Soper of their recent trips to Norway (taken about a month apart the previous year). On display were some of the photos they took.

Court of Appeal Justice Earl Johnson Jr. is tentatively scheduled to appear at the May 17, 2003 lunch to talk about the trip that he took to Norway in 2001, visiting the family farm in Etne (located in southwest Norway, between Bergen and Stavanger).
